This NCFE-accredited course offers a unique opportunity for neurodiverse young learners to make their ideas come to life by create their own fashion brands; combing their passion for fashion and creativity with essential business skills in a supportive and accessible environment.

Specifically designed for aspiring entrepreneurs looking to establish their own venture, this course provides foundational knowledge and skills to help  successfully launch their own business.

Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the critical steps involved in starting a business, including marketing strategies, legal considerations, and financial planning.

The course also focuses on creating a detailed business plan, equipping learners with the tools necessary to turn their business ideas into reality.

Tailored to meet the needs of neurodiverse individuals, the course is structured to provide a comfortable and confidence-building learning experience.

Who are Enemy Of Boredom Students?

Enemy Of Boredom courses can be joined throughout the year (subject to availability)

1. Creating your own brand and launching your sales within the 'Make Fashion My Future' Online Store. 

2. NCFE level 2 Business Start Up Qualification that allows you to gain all the skills to set yourself up self-employed.

Specifically targeted at young learners interested in designing hoodies, t-shirts, bags, and hats.

Referrals can be taken at any point across the year.

NCFE qualification in business start-up or Team Leading.

Work on a real business project throughout the year.

MMF will fund and supply the equipment and clothing for printing students designs.

Making Fashion My Future Course Facts

We have been successful in helping young people that have been school or college unconfident gain a sense of purpose and in-turn, re-engage and gain an Enemy Of Boredom qualification.

Once our referral team has received the initial referral information (including EHCP and any other relevant documentation) they will be in touch with further information.

As EOB is an alternative provision we are funded through Local Authorities and schools. Therefore, we have to have an agreement from the referral partner that they will fund the course before we can progress.

As soon as we have confirmation of this and their support for the referral to progress we will then arrange a visit to our setting or ‘Hello’ with an online tutor. This will then be followed up with an hour-long taster session with the appropriate tutor. The taster session is a great opportunity for all to see that the course is going to be the right fit!

The placement is not confirmed until after the taster sessions.

Enemy Of Boredom's Music Course is led by leading figures in the music industry and supported by the UKs and world’s most established music events and product companies.

Our RSL Levels 1, 2 and 3 Qualifications in the Creative Music Industry, from our venues in Bracknell and Letchworth, are perfect for those looking to pursue their passion academically.

EOB can offer Schools and Local Authorities flexibility within our course offerings and approach.

All tutors are trained in mental health awareness and special needs/disabilities in the classroom.

We use the Autism toolkit to support our practice and approach for students.

Upon referral, we request a student's EHCP to create a personalised student profile with identified outcomes and needs.

Referrals are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Inductions are tailored to each student's needs and profile and conducted 1:1 to build confidence and strong tutor relationships.

Transition booklets with photos are provided to support students with anxiety.

Students will have the same tutor, workstation and routine to help overcome anxieties.

A neutral, low-arousal sensory environment is created to support sensory needs, with various seating options.

A regulation room is available for self-regulation of emotions, accessible at any time.

Our Courses are broken into manageable, bite-sized chunks to prevent overload.

Students are encouraged to take brain breaks as needed.

Visual "to-do lists" are provided for students needing more structure.

Students unable to communicate verbally can use Discord's chat facility.

Support is provided for students' transition into the community, including lunchtime and independent travel assistance.

Our open-door policy encourages strong relationships, enabling students to seek guidance on any support they need and community resources.

We assist students with next steps, such as college, apprenticeships, and university applications, including interview preparation.

Communication with future provisions ensures continuity of support and a smooth transition for students.

All staff take Safeguarding seriously and all understand it is everyones responsibility. All staff our Level 2 safeguarding trained and management Level 3.

Half- termly reports are sent to all referral partners and families

We celebrate our student's work with a physical or virtual graduation ceremony.

An EOB Newsletter is sent each term with important information, details on the terms work and any other news.

Our Online courses are ‘live’ sessions that are recorded.

Students can progress through the levels at EOB to strengthen their future prospects

Level 3 students can apply for University if a Diploma is studied or they take on a foundation year at Uni.

The majority of our students are neurodiverse and the thought of transitions can send them into ‘shutdown’ due to anxiety and feeling overwhelmed. We therefore have to approach transitions carefully. As such we work hard with the parents, case workers and referral partners on an individual basis to support the student's progression ensuring it is the best fit for them and handled sensitively.

However, for the whole setting, we offer career days on 3 dates per year and house partner companies to talk about careers and job opportunities. We have links to Universities and have overview days with them. We also identify routes for employment and talk these through with students across the academic year.

Onward Progression Pathways

Music education can help students discover talents and passions they might not have otherwise realised. Some students may find their life’s calling in music, leading to a lifelong advantage and potential career opportunities.



Music Performance or Production

EOB Academy has been providing successful and engaging packages of education, igniting the passion for learning to young people pre-16 and post-16.

Join us for 1, 2 or 3 days per week / Gain a level 1, 2 or 3 qualification or just learn new skills / Learn from qualified video game design tutors / Remote working available / Online-working packages are available.

Each young person on our course will create their own video game, from the storyboarding of the game, through to level design and then publishing it for peers to enjoy.
