▸ YOU’RE NOT THE PROBLEM
When school or college hasn’t worked, it’s easy to start thinking something’s wrong with you. Maybe you’ve felt anxious, frustrated, or just switched off. Maybe you’ve been told to try harder or to fit in more. But the truth is, you’re not the problem.
A lot of schools and colleges just aren’t built for how you think or learn. And over time, that can knock your confidence and make learning feel pointless. That changes here.
It’s a friendly environment where I felt comfortable to be. It’s helped me not only in game design, but also in my social skills.

At The Enemy of Boredom Academy, you don’t have to change who you are to fit in. This is a place where you’re understood, safe and free to be yourself.
We take the time to understand how you think and what you’re into. Then we build your learning around it. Whether it’s video games or music, you turn your interests into real skills and achievements.
It’s not school. It’s smaller, calmer, and designed around you. You’ll be around people who genuinely understand, in a space where you can feel settled enough to start again.
Designed so you can do your best work.
You don’t have to perform or keep up. Just start.
▸ TURN IDEAS INTO REALITY
Here, you’ll actually make things. You could be building your own video game or producing and sharing your music, turning ideas into real projects.
And everything you achieve leads towards your future: work you can share, valuable skills you can take with you, recognised qualifications, and support to choose your next step, whether that’s college, further training, or a career that suits you.
When you’re understood, things start to shift. You begin to feel more confident, you start finishing things, and you realise you’re actually good at something.
You’ve got real strengths, even if it doesn’t feel like it right now, and we’ll help you build them into something solid: skills, qualifications, and a path forward. This isn’t just about getting through education; it’s about building a future that actually fits who you are.
We guide you step by step from feeling stuck to moving forward, in a way that works for you.
1. We start with understanding you.
You’ll begin with a visit and a taster session to see if we’re a good fit. We’ll spend time getting to know you, what you’re interested in, and how you learn.
2. We create the conditions for your success.
Our centres are designed to reduce overwhelm and build trust. With small groups, consistent routines, and support, you feel ready to learn. Oh, and no uniform – ever!
3. We reconnect through relevance.
You’ll have the opportunity to engage in creative pathways, such as video game design, music performance, or music production, under the guidance of tutors who’ve actually worked in the industry. By tapping into your interests, learning becomes purposeful, practical, and motivating.
4. We build your skills and confidence.
As you develop your creative work, you’ll earn qualifications and gain academic and personal confidence.
5. We support your progression.
Everyone here is working towards their personal next step. Whether you aim for college, further training, or employment, our team will be with you every step of the way, helping you build a portfolio of work and move on with confidence.
Your next chapter starts with a single step. We’ll be with you for the rest.
We use creativity as a bridge back into learning and forward into real opportunities. You will gain either a Certificate or Diploma, accredited by RSL.
