Alternative Provision Online UK Wide.

Want to learn and succeed with Video Games & Life Skills? This is the place for you. A Thoughtfully Designed, Learner-Centred Online Experience.

Welcome to Enemy of Boredom Academy an Alternative Provision Online UK Wide.

Our online courses are built around the individual needs of each student, offering a flexible, structured, and supportive environment where learners can thrive.

Many neurodiverse students find online learning especially beneficial. The ability to learn from a familiar, low-stimulation setting can reduce anxiety and sensory overwhelm. Customisable communication options and consistent routines provide a sense of predictability and control—key elements for supporting focus, emotional regulation, and confidence.

We use video games design to build a more confident young person.

Working with our SEN students in an inclusive learning environment, whether in-house or online, we aim to rebuild their confidence and encourage their participation in learning. We work closely with SENCOs and Local Authorities, using our young people’s voices, to create a bespoke pathway back into mainstream education or to support the student in progressing through our levels, helping them move towards independence in their adult life.

A Thoughtfully Designed, Learner-Centred Online Experience.

Students log in at the same time each day, guided by the same dedicated tutor throughout their course. This consistency fosters trust and allows tutors to build strong, supportive relationships with each learner. Scheduled breaks are taken at the same time daily, helping to establish a dependable rhythm.

Our online classrooms are welcoming and adaptable. Students are free to take regulation breaks when needed and can access a one-on-one support room at any time. Communication is flexible—students can choose to use a microphone or chat, depending on their comfort level. Cameras are only required during registration, not during lessons.

Video Games Design Accessed Anywhere.

Each session begins with a check-in, allowing tutors to connect and see how students are feeling. The day ends with time set aside for social connection and relaxation through games, quizzes, or low-pressure group conversations—supporting not just academic growth, but also social development and emotional well-being.

Why online lession can be great for students with Autism and ADHD?

Many neurodiverse students find online learning especially beneficial. The ability to learn from a familiar, low-stimulation setting can reduce anxiety and sensory overwhelm. Customisable communication options and consistent routines provide a sense of predictability and control—key elements for supporting focus, emotional regulation, and confidence.

For autistic learners, the quieter, more predictable nature of online learning can help minimise sensory challenges and social pressure, creating a more comfortable space for engagement and learning. The option to communicate via chat, avoid video, and access support one-on-one allows for meaningful participation without added stress.

Students with ADHD benefit from the clear structure, shorter transition times, and fewer classroom distractions that online learning can offer. Scheduled breaks, opportunities for movement, and the ability to access individual support when focus dips all help maintain attention and reduce frustration.

A Student story from Enemy Of Boredom Academy, Bracknell, Berkshire.

We’re incredibly proud of one of our older students who recently made an important step toward independence. Due to their neurodiverse needs and high anxiety, they’ve always needed a close family member with them when going out. But last week, with support from one of our team members, they walked through town to buy a Mother’s Day card for their mum. After this success, they felt confident enough to go out with three other students to pick up lunch from McDonald’s (without our team member). While it may seem like a small step to some, for this student, it represents a major achievement in gaining independence. We’re so pleased to see the progress they’re making, and it’s a reminder of the positive strides they continue to take. We couldn’t be more thrilled to witness this young person’s growth and newfound sense of independence.

In 2024, over 90 percent of our Level 3 students in Video Games Design achieved a merit or distinction (up to 24 UCAS points).

What a student has to say about working with us.

The tools I used at EOB were advanced – way more professional than I thought it would be – which has been great to get into the world of games design.
